I loved chilling out on the peaceful deck while enjoying the beautiful gardens, and the food was excellent! There’s a great spot for relaxing with a drink and a cozy lounge area. The only downside was that some areas could use a bit of sprucing up, but it didn’t ruin my experience at all. 😊

Unexpectedly awesome stop!

We drove by this place a ton and finally decided to pop in for a drink. Ended up eating and wow, what a nice surprise! The ladies behind the bar were super friendly. The food in the restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced. Just a bummer that the bar area felt a bit cramped.

I had a lovely stay at Bodkin House. The room named after Beatrix Potter was clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable, and the amenities included a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee facilities. I really enjoyed the food too. especially the warm Camembert with crusty bread and the ribeye steak. The hosts were friendly and very accommodating, creating a personal atmosphere. the bar layout felt a bit unwelcoming with an unusual design, and the seating wasn’t very comfortable. I noticed some noise from the nearby A46, particularly at night, which might disturb light sleepers. a great stay with delicious food and warm hospitality, but a few tweaks could enhance the experience further.

The ribeye steak was absolutely out of this world! I felt like a king devouring that juicy bite. Plus, the cozy room named after Beatrix Potter and the attentive service made the whole experience truly delightful.
